Strong, rugged and powerful, the Galaxy S4 Active, unveiled by Samsung at the Galaxy and ATIV event marks the entry of a waterproof and dust-resistant device that’s specially designed for those with an active outdoor lifestyle, which makes it an exciting option.
Available with an IP67 certification, the Galaxy S4 Active is made to withstand water up to about 40 inches deep for half an hour.
With a 5-inch HD TFT LCD screen, the smartphone comes equipped with a 1.9GHz quad-core chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable to 64GB using a microSD and 2,600mAh battery pack.
With an 8megapixel rear camera and 2megapixel front camera, the Galaxy S4 Active lets users capture clear pictures and videos under the water with an innovative Aqua mode feature. Made to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the device will roll out equipped with an LED that serves dual purpose of camera’s flash as well as a flashlight.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is hoped to hit the market in different colour choices such as Orange Flare, Dive Blue, and Urban Grey.
