Nokia will start selling its new flagship Lumia smartphone in partnership with China Mobile. According to Nokia it will partner with China Mobile to launch a version of its new flagship Lumia smartphone tailored for the world’s largest cellular market.
China Mobile is among the biggest operator in the world with almost 700 million subscribers. It will bring out the Lumia 920T the first phone to be based on Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 platform in China’s third-generation (3G) network.
Successful of sales of Lumia 920 and 820 models has given a boost to Nokia shares. It has been predicted that with Lumia 920, Nokia will get its lost position in the smartphone market.
To attract high-end 3G subscribers China Mobile is working out pricing plans to beat competitors. China Mobile is the only telecom carrier in China without a contract with Apple Inc to sell iPhones in the country.
