Canon's latest EOS 650DLooks like Canon’s bringing out a whole new range of DSLR cameras for the professional photographer. The 650D or the Digital Rebel T4i has been launched as the successor to the last year’s popular 600D DSLR model, which was the top-of-the-line offering in its entry-level range of professional digital cameras. So what makes this one better than its predecessor?

From the outside, it’s built similar to the 600D, but there’s quite a bit that’s changed on the inside. The EOS 650D comes with an 18MP resolution with a dual autofocus mechanism, which enables it to click subjects with sharpness and precision and even maintain autofocus continuously when shooting videos. The rear LCD screen has free angle movement and a touch screen interface for ease of use. Use the touch screen to capture a shot, change settings and shooting modes, track faces of your subjects, select autofocus points on the screen, swipe through the image gallery, and even pinch to zoom into the images clicked.

A Creative auto mode in the 650D lets users play around with the aperture and exposure settings and even has nine picture styles such as Standard, Vivid, Warm, Cool, Monochrome, etc., which can be further customized when clicking photos. This camera even features a new HDR Backlight option as well as a Hand-held Night scene mode with which you can click several images at high shutter speeds and then combine them to reproduce a sharp image even in low light conditions.

When it comes to shooting videos with the 650D, it’s capable of full HD recording at 24/25/30 fps and at 720p HD when shooting at 50/60 fps. The camera even comes with built-in stereo speakers for enhanced sound recording features. The ISO settings on this camera can be adjusted from 100 all the way up to 12800, which can be expanded up to 25600 and you can store images in JPEG or even RAW format. It is priced around $850 for just the body and goes up to $1199 with various lenses.
