Can We Expect An Apple iPad Mini 2 With Retina Display To Go Head On With Google Nexus 7?

You know, just the other day, we were talking about how Apple would have to increase its productions costs for making an iPad Mini with the Retina Display feature. And now, according to rumors, there could actually be such a tablet in the works. Leaked pictures of the next generation iPad Mini have surfaced on a Chinese forum, giving away this surprise.

The original iPad Mini drew a lot of flak for having a measly resolution of just 162 ppi, and especially when we’ve been hearing that its competitor Google Nexus 7 could receive an upgrade in the resolution, it makes sense that Apple would follow suit.

In the leaked images, we can see that the tablet has a thicker body than the current iPad Mini, which could be because of the Retina Display. With this feature, the resolution of the new iPad Mini could be bumped up to 324 ppi. But analysts have forecasted that the iPad Mini with the Retina Display could cost over 30 percent higher – so get set to dig deeper into your pockets for this one.

The images also show a blue colored cover for this new device. It could indicate that the iPad Mini would be available in multiple color options, like the iPod touch. So, get ready to color up your life too!
