Sony has had a pretty good start to this year, with its launch of the well appreciated Xperia Z smartphone. But ever since Samsung unveiled its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, we’ve been hearing rumors about Sony working on another device called the Xperia ZR which would be its worthy contender against the Galaxy S4.
The Xperia ZR is expected to have a 4.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1280X720 pixels, and would be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. Like the Xperia Z, this phone would also have a 13 MP rear camera fitted with an Exmos RS sensor. We can expect 8 GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot, as well as a 2,300 mAh battery in the package.
Like the Xperia Z, we’re guessing the Xperia ZR too would be dust and water resistant. But from the leaked specs, we wonder if this phone could really pack a punch powerful enough to pull down the Galaxy S4.
