Apple has announced that select Apple watch users can get free Apple watch screen replacements in its new programme. If you are also wondering if you are eligible for the replacement programme then you are in the right place.
Apple has shared in its latest support document that some of its watch units have suddenly developed cracks near their rounded edges. The company has assured that any user who is facing this issue with their Apple Watch will be granted a free screen replacement.
But, it might not be as simple as it sounds. Also, customers will have to ship their Apple Watches and wait for a couple of days to get the watch back. Moreover, the offer is limited to a few selected watch units only.
Eligibility for Apple Watch Screen Replacement Program
Company officials have noted that the company will be looking for very specific cracks around the edges. Thus, if you had just dropped your Apple Watch, you won’t be eligible for the free screen replacements. Additionally, the team at Apple Repair Center will also determine if it is actually eligible for the free replacement.
Although Nike+ models are also included, stainless steel and ceramic models will not be considered for the free replacements, only the Apple Watch units, which were sold from September 2016 to September 2019 alone, are eligible for the replacement programme.
