We bring to you four key features that will keep the device ahead of other smartphones available in the market.Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini support page pops up on company’s official website

  • Apple iPhone 6 is likely to be equipped with Apple’s next OS version, iOS 8, and it would be more scratch resistant as compared to the screens of the current iPhones.
  • Analysts reported in May 2014 that the iPhone 6 and 2014 iPads will possibly be equipped with NFC-powered mobile payment service. According to 9to5Mac, this news gained further momentum as the company is currently in talks with partners. This feature, if finalized, will enable iPhone users to buy upscale goods with the device acting as their iWallet.
  • Apple recently acquired Beats Electronics and Beats Music streaming service at a cost of USD3 billion. It has been noted that almost five out of 10 U.S teens favor the Beats-branded headphones over available alternatives to go with their iPhones, iPads and iPods for their listening pleasure. This would surely benefit Apple in boosting the sales figure of its next generation smartphone.
  • The iPhone 6 is sure to be loaded with the best of design and functions. To keep neck-to-neck competition with Android devices, Apple is likely to reasonably price its smartphone in order to convert millions more of Android users.

It has been long rumored that the company is scheduled to release two versions of iPhone 6 this year, with one having a 4.7-inch display and the other boasting a 5.5- or 5.7-inch screen.  The company is believed to start the production of the 4.7-inch model in July, with the commercial launch due in September. Meanwhile, the manufacturing of the bigger version would start sometime in September. This suggests that the two versions will not hit the market at the same time.

Apple would reintroduce its navigational tool, coupled with a more reliable data for public transportation use as well as indoor mapping services in select markets. It is also likely to have Healthbook, which will allow users to easily record and access medical information that will benefit them in personal aid and efficient monitoring.  iPhone 6 will surely have CarPlay that will ensure safer and more enjoyable driving as well as an upgraded Siri in order to fight off the rising threats coming from Google Now and Cortana.

Notification on iPhone 6 will definitely be simplified as many users still remain confused while differentiating between All and Missed alerts. The upcoming smartphone is likely to introduce several improvements in iWork and iCloud in order to obtain enhanced workplace collaboration, more app integration and expanded storage space.

UK Xbox One To Support Sky and Virgin Media Electronic Programme Guides

US-based electronic giant Microsoft has finally confirmed that its Xbox One will support Sky and Virgin Media electronic programme guides (EPG) in the UK. This will become possible after the company will release its next update, which it had earlier promised to roll out before the World Cup scheduled to start on June 12 2014.The Xbox One provides much ease to the user when it comes to redeeming a code for add-on or a new game.

This will enable the Xbox One owners to directly access EPG from the device itself, and you no more require a Sky or Virgin Media box for it to work either. It can now be said that Microsoft is on the right track to be your portal to Brazil this summer.

The company has also mentioned that EPGs will be pulled from other set-top boxes too. The owners are just required to plug the box into the Xbox One’s HDMI input, and it will automatically display all the information through.

The people are presently allowed to view set-top box content via the Xbox One, but the lack of EPG support disables you to take advantage of Kinect’s voice controls to go directly to your channels of choice.

After the roll out of the update, the viewers will be enabled to tweak the guide in several ways. The starters can set HD channels as their default option in order to avoid SD versions of the same channel from cluttering up your guide.

The update will also enable you to save a favourite channels list for each Xbox profile, resulting in disabling cartoon channels from interrupting your favourite movie and sports channels.

Meanwhile, the update will allow additional channels to appear in the guide, right from Twitch streaming content, to TED talks and gaming clips recorded to Microsoft’s OneDrive service.

Microsoft faced lots of criticism for its decision to sell an Xbox package sans Kinect, but the upcoming update in June that will enable voice control powers to your channel surfing could be a game changer.

Self-Driving Cars: Google to Launch Cars Without Steering Wheels in Few Years

Google is all set to expand the horizons of car driving. The search giant is reportedly working on an innovative concept of self-driven cars, which will be sans steering wheels, accelerator pedals or brake pedals. The much ambitious project is speculated to make way for a self-driving small electric car, which will seat two passengers.Google Self driving car prototype (1)

The project is still in the ongoing stage and Google has built prototypes in partnership with automotive suppliers and manufacturers.

“Google aims to build up to 200 such cars in the near term and hopes the vehicles will be available in various cities within a couple of years”, Firstpost quoted the Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

Google has been keen to make waves in the automotive industry since 2009. They have been testing several concepts of self-driving cars including laser sensors and radars.

Interestingly, the self-driving cars could be used to pick up passenger and has the potential to operate as fleets of interconnected “trains”.

“Ten seconds after getting in I was doing my email, I had forgotten I was there,” Brin gushed about his experience of riding the vehicle, adding, “It ultimately reminded me of catching a chairlift.”

The prototypes being build by Google are redolent of a Smart car and Volkswagen Beetle.

Moreover, the driverless car is limited to have speed of 25 miles (40 km) per hour, but can go up to 100 miles in future.

“Within a couple of years I hope we will surpass the safety metrics we’ve put in place, which is to be significantly safer than a human driver, and we will start testing them without drivers and hopefully you’ll be able to utilize them at some limited cities, “ Brian further said about the possibility of putting the car in practical use.

Manny Pacquiao Tells Tim Bradley to Have Bath: Pacman Shocked by Weird Boxing Ritual

Manny Pacquiao is now setting his things tight for the forthcoming and most expected fight with Timothy Bradley at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden, Nevada. Funny enough, Pacquiao, the eight-time world champion in the division is now having concerns about getting engaged too much with this unbeaten American boxer, after knowing that he doesn’t bathe a week before the fight.

On November 24th last year, Manny Pacquiao had celebrated his laudable victory against the U.S. fighter Brandon Rios at the World Boxing Organization (WBO) International in a 12-round welterweight boxing title fight, which was held in Venetian Macao hotel, Macau.

Pacquiao from Philippines had fought against most of the great fighters of the time throughout his Hall of Fame career. He; however, cannot believe about Tim Bradley’s pre-match ritual of not taking shower a week prior to a fight. Says he was utterly shocked to learn this fact during the interview held with Philippines’ top media network, the ABS-CBN News.

On checking out his opinion about Bradley’s no-shower deal, this Saranngani congressman reiterated his statement that it is a highly non-hygienic idea, but not made any further comments about this untoward ritual of Bradley.

Bradley revealed about his secret pre-fight ritual during an interview with ABS-CBN News earlier as “I am not sure why… it is one thing I don’t usually do. The entire week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I won’t take a shower. Saturday is when I take the first shower.”

Pacquiao will be pocketing about $20 million in the upcoming fight and Bradley too will make around $7 million, excluding their incentives for the Pay-per-View promotions and mechanize sales.… Read the rest
