US-based tech giant is all set to make big announcements in September with the expected launch of its iPhone as well as iWatch. Invites for the Apple September 9 event have been sent out to the media when the company is likely to announce its flagship smartphone iPhone that would be commercially available later in September 2014, along with other products.
RBC Capital Markets has predicted that the company would sell the record 10 million units of its flagship smartphone in the opening weekend, higher than the 9 million unit opening weekend sale of its iPhone 5s and 5c.
It was earlier rumored that the soon-to-be-launched android flagship smartphone would be equipped with sapphire display. It was also reported that the company is working towards shifting from Gorilla Glass protection to an in-house Sapphire glass solution for its iPhone 6.
Apple iPhone 6 would be released in two versions, with one having a 4.7-inch display and the other boasting a 5.5- or 5.7-inch screen. The smartphone would sport Apple’s next OS version, iOS 8, and it would be more scratch resistant as compared to the screens of the current iPhones. The smartphone would be equipped with several other features, including 64-bit mobile processor, a clock speed of 2.6GHz and improved RAM. Additionally, it would have an advanced version of the camera along with optical image stabilization.
