After the success of Apple Watch, the Cupertino-based tech company is working on the Apple Car. According to rumors, Apple has hired Doug Betts, a veteran in the automotive industry, to design the vehicle. Betts last worked with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as global head of operations and quality. His current Linkedin profile reads Operations – Apple Inc. 

Apple Rumored To Be Working On Electric CarThis year in February, we read reports that hundreds of employees were working on an electric car in Cupertino. The rumors never stopped and it has also been reported that Apple has hired the Head Of Research And Development for Mercedes-Benz, North American R&D laboratory.

With Betts joining Apple, all these bits of rumor come to a closure. We hope that Apple actually down gets to making a car instead of simply expanding Car Play offerings.
