Amid all the high points of iPhone 7 rumors, we just read that the upcoming iPhone will pack in only 16 GB storage, according to Mark Gurman from 9to5 Mac. Gurman recently published few leaks around the iPhone component and we were spotted a flash storage chip that read 16 GB. All this for the supposed iPhone 6S!
This has already caused a dent in expectations surrounding the device given that fans had been bulking up for far better storage for the iPhone model to release this year lest they miss out on stuff like attest software upgrades. Samsung might steal the show yet again thanks to their clever thinking that allows beefy storage and expandable memory.
Apple’s iCloud Love Story
Apple is consoling fans by ensuring that its latest Operating System—read iOS 9—takes very little space on the iPad and iPhone. More so the process of app thinning is being tapped by developers at the Cupertino quarters so that applications do not eat up a whole lot of free space on the i-wares. More so, keeping storage capacity at a low mark could mean Apple’s stickler for iCloud and allied services. Remember how Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President for Marketing said, “The belief is more and more as we use iCloud services…perhaps the most price-conscious customers are able to live in an environment where they don’t need gobs of local storage…..”
However, Apple offers us only 5 GB iCloud space for free. So are you genuinely interested in buying cloud space? Won’t a simple memory chip support spec work just right for earthlings in 2015? Hey Apple, are ‘ya listening?
