The upcoming iPhone 6 has been the cause of much speculation and rumour mongering.
Some of its features are creating a buzz and have caught the imagination of everyone. These include– the live 3D video call facility, a new unbreakable and transparent material for the body, a possible foldable screen and even an anti-crash parachute!
The patent application for 3D video calls seems to indicate an augmented reality application, giving users access to an information layer within the video call. This feature could very well help the iPhone take the market from its competition; like the Samsung Galaxy 4.
Apple has been considering a move away from the use of gorilla glass and is looking at sapphire crystal for its screen. This material is used by high-end watchmakers as un-scratchable glass. This seems to have finally put to rest the speculation of a foldable iPhone screen—at least for now.
Apple has also applied for certain patents which have been designed to make its devices survive accidental falls. So, get ready to carry devices which have crash sensors; which tell the phone that it is being dropped and that it should use its parachute/air-foil to change its trajectory. This helps it fall on its back instead of its edge or screen!
