If recent reports are to be relied upon, then the Apple iPhone 6 could possibly release in the 3rd quarter of 2014. One of the reports speculating the iPhone 6 release date also mentions that Apple will come up with a bigger screen for the iPhone 6 and the new models will also feature a curved glass.
In the second half of the year 2014, two new models are also likely to be launched, as reported by Bloomberg News. However, Bloomberg News refused to divulge the source for this latest revelation. The two new models will have glass that would be curving downwards, around the edges. Also, the two new models will also be designed with enhanced sensors.
There will be two new models in the latter half of 2014, according to a report from Bloomberg News, citing an unnamed source. The two models will feature glass that curves downward toward the edges, and they would have better sensors. The source who has apparently provided the details to Bloomberg News has also mentioned that sensors would be even more effective in differentiating between heavy and light touches.
The two models will feature 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch screen respectively. What this means is that these two models would be largest iPhones to be ever produced by Apple so far. A Forbes report also hints that the tech giant will use a sapphire coating over iPhone 6’s camera and the fingerprint reader. The report from Forbes also notes that Apple signed a multi-year deal with GT Advanced Technologies for developing industrial-grade sapphire to be used in iPhone 6 models.
For those who are not aware, sapphire is virtually unbreakable. Much like diamond, sapphire is almost scratch-resistant. The new models will also be featuring a faster and advanced processor apart from some other advanced features, which are not been announced yet.
