AMD Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT graphic cards will now be taking on Nvidia’s ray tracing capabilities. AMD has released its latest graphic card models on November 18 starting at 9 am EST. But, the much awaited Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT have reportedly came in short supplies.
Micro Center officials have been cited claiming that the Radeon RX 6800 supplies will be extremely limited. PC Mag has reported that a Micro Center online forum admin has posted an FAQ for the RX 6800 claiming that the graphic card quantities are expected to be extremely limited at the time of their launch. However, it had also clarified that additional supplies would soon be provided in the upcoming days.
AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series Prices
AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series graphic cards have been launched at a much lower price as compared to its Nvidia counterparts. AMD Radeon RX 6800 will be sold at $579 while AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT on the other hand is priced at $649.
It would be hoping to take on the Nvidia RTX 3000 series with its new launch. Users have long been waiting for Radeon RX 6800 XT to hit the shelves especially as it comes at a much lower price than its RTX rivals.
Limited stocks of the Nvidia RTX 3000 series GPU cards had also left its many expectant fans disappointed after the launch as it soon sold out. Micro Center hadalso reportedly refused to offer online reservations citing the high demand leading to the sight of eager customers camping outside its retail outlets.
However, in more relieving news, MSI, Asus and Gigabyte may begin selling their own RX 6800 and 6800 XT models starting November 25 replenishing at least part of the extremely limited AMD Radeon RX 6800 supplies.
