Amazon to Start Shipping Kindle Fire HD

Here’s some great news to add to the holiday cheer. Amazon has announced that it will start shipping out the larger Kindle Fire HD tablet sooner than when it was initially launched back in September. The $299 with an 8.9-inch screen is perfect for users who love browsing the web, checking their e-mails, playing games, and basically just getting entertained when on the move.
You can order a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 not just on Amazon, but also through Best Buy starting today, and the tablet will also be available through Staples and Radio Shack in the coming few weeks. Amazon has designed this tablet for users looking for a larger screen tablet that is also pocket-friendly, and while it’s not as large as the Apple iPad’s 9.7-inch screen, it still has a marvelous display!
The Kindle Fire HD features a front-facing HD camera that you can use to make video calls. This camera is also equipped with an “X-Ray” feature that can be used on movies and textbooks to find additional information through IMDB, Wikipedia, YouTube, etc. The model with 4G connectivity will start shipping out next week and starts at a price tag of $499.
Data packages will cost $49.99 extra, which is a one-time fee, and users also get with this data package $10 worth of credit for Amazon’s Appstore as well as 20 GB of storage on Amazon’s Cloud Drive. Amazon is also offering Amazon Prime Membership at $7.99 which will give users access to free videos via streaming.
